MotionCam (PhOD) Jeweller

MotionCam (PhOD) Jeweller is a wireless indoor motion detector with extended photo verification capabilities. It combines a high‑quality PIR sensor, SmartDetect filtering, and temperature compensation to reliably detect human movement while ignoring pets up to 20 kg. With multiple photo verification modes—including Photo on Demand, Photo by Scenario, and Photo by Schedule—the detector provides flexible visual confirmation for any security workflow.

Key Features

  • Up to 12 m motion detection range with an 88.5° horizontal angle
  • Extended photo verification: alarm, on demand, schedule, scenario, arming/disarming
  • HDR imaging for clear photos in mixed lighting
  • IR backlight for low‑light and night conditions
  • SmartDetect algorithm to prevent false alarms
  • Pet immunity for animals up to 20 kg and 50 cm in height
  • Jeweller & Wings wireless communication with up to 1,700 m range
  • Up to 4 years battery life (3 years with Photo on Demand enabled)
  • Tamper protection and device authentication
  • EN 50131 Grade 2 certified

How It Works

The PIR sensor monitors infrared changes and detects movement based on thermal contrast and motion speed. When triggered, the built‑in camera captures a configurable series of photos and transmits them via the Wings protocol. HDR technology improves visibility in bright or dark scenes, while IR illumination ensures clear images in low‑light environments. SmartDetect analyses thermal patterns to distinguish real threats from pets or environmental noise.

Installation & Placement

  • Install at 2.4 m height for optimal detection and pet immunity
  • Use the SmartBracket panel for tool‑free mounting
  • Aim the lens perpendicular to the intrusion path
  • Designed for indoor use only
  • Configure sensitivity, photo modes, and resolution via Ajax apps

Reliability & Supervision

  • Temperature compensation for stable detection from −10 °C to +40 °C
  • Regular polling ensures continuous supervision
  • Tamper alarm detects removal or opening
  • Encrypted communication with dynamic key
  • Automatic self‑diagnostics and instant maintenance notifications
  • Event log stores the last 500 system events

Compliance

  • EN 50131 Grade 2
  • PD 6662:2017
  • UL listed
  • IP50 protection class
  • Operating humidity up to 75%
